The family is asking for privacy, but truly appreciates all that has already been done.

We will continue to accept donations for the McCabe Family and Friends Fund, as well as gift certificates for food, clothing, etc.

Let those you love know that you always keep them close to your heart....

The latest edition of The Creative Corner has been released.  Check out some great work from our
students.

Second quarter and semester grades have been finalized. Students and parents are encouraged to visit the portal on Infinite Campus to review grades. Students who received three or more failing grades are ineligible and may not participate in athletics effective 2/3/17. If you have any questions about your child's grades please contact your child's school counselor.

An SHS parent recently informed me that they received a letter from an organization named c3Workshop.  The letter states that the parent and student are scheduled to participate in an education group presentation followed by a group interview to help determine college eligibility and financial aid eligibility.  Parents should be cautious regarding letters like this.  SHS does not endorse this group.  If you receive a letter similar to this, I recommend that you speak with your child's school counselor before you agree to anything.

The Family & Consumer Science Department asked staff for their favorite recipe that you might make to celebrate the Super Bowl.  The FCS students examined the recipes to see what changes might be made to the recipes to adhere to the wellness policy of Smithfield. They commented on the recipes to maybe lower the calories, change the nutritional value, etc.  The recipes were compiled in a cookbook that each contributing staff member received a copy of.

Mr. Lenore finished editing his latest sports video!  Thank you Mr. Lenore for all the time and effort you put into these videos.  https://youtu.be/Nr2y3jik4vU
