On Tuesday, May 16th, Officer Jon Ricciarelli was honored with the 2017 Police Officer of the Year Award from the Chepachet Grange. A major part of this award was for Officer Ricciarelli's extensive work with the Smithfield Police Explorers and his work in the community.

This is SHS's second award winner from the Chepachet Grange. SHS physics teacher Jack Hurley won the teacher of the year award two years ago. Congratulations Officer Ricciarelli!

Our Engineering Academy students have been spending time at Fay Butler's metal shop.  Our students receive some fantastic hands on training with Mr. Butler!

Our Early Childhood Academy held their spring board meeting this past week.
