Announcements:

Attention Students!  Bright Night Providence, Rhode Island’s largest New Year’s Eve Celebration, is proud to present the 2nd Annual “Bright Night’s Got Talent” Competition.  We are searching for Rhode Island students ages 6 through 19 who would like an opportunity to showcase their special talent (singing, dancing, poetry, magic, acting, etc.). There will be auditions for all who are interested, concluding with the grand prize in each age category: a paid appearance/performance at Bright Night Providence! This event is open to both individual and group performances. Due to time constraints, each performance will be allotted a four-minute time slot. Finalists will get a 10-minute performance showcase at Bright Night Providence, and a $100 performance fee.

Where: Location to be disclosed upon registering.
When: 1st or 2nd weekend in December

As some of you are aware, Mrs. Clarke will be leaving SHS.  Her last day will be Friday, October 12.  Our counseling staff has put careful thought into how to best address the college application process and I want to assure you that your child will have the support they need.  The following advisories will be assigned to the counselor listed:
            Mr. Cullen – Mrs. McGinnis
            Mr. Cabral – Mrs. DiMuccio
            Ms. Valentine – Mr. Twohey
            Ms. Buckley – Mr. Twohey
            Mr. Hurley – Mrs. McGinnis

When completing the common application, your son/daughter has been advised to submit this counselor’s email address.  The counselor will then be able to complete their school report form and upload their transcript and a letter explaining my departure.

Spirit Week Schedule posted to website.  Due to NECAP testing the schedule is a little different this year.  The homecoming football game and dance will kick off Spirit Week.  Check website for additional details.
